This file is from Wikimedia Commons and may be used by other projects. The description on its file description page there is shown below.

This space image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.

It is recommended to name the SVG file “Europa field.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.

Summary

Description
English: The image depicts magnetic field around Jovian moon Europa. The field consists of the Jovian stationary field, Jovian varying field and Europa induced field. The bending of the field lines around Europa is evident, indicating an existence of an electrically conducting layer in the interior of the moon. The field lines shown in the image were calculated based on the magnetic field data available from the scientific literature.[1][2]. The red line shows a trajectory of the Galileo spacecraft during a typical flyby (E4 or E14). This image was created for the en:Europa (moon) article.
